Privacy Policy

The operator of shibafuQ ("we", "us") handles information about users of shibafuq.com and the games offered on the same domain (together, the "Service") as described below.
1. Information we collect
- Account registration: your email address, nickname, password and the date you signed up. Passwords are stored only as hashes; we never store the password itself.
- Game records: clears, scores and match records from games you play while logged in, linked to your account. Some games also save records of matches played without logging in, without linking them to any account.
- Contact form: your name (optional), email address, topic, message, the time you sent it and your browser type (User-Agent). To prevent spam we store a hash calculated from your IP address; we do not store the IP address itself.
- Analytics: usage data collected through Google Analytics, such as the pages you view, where you came from, and your device and browser type (see section 4).
- Cookies and browser storage: used to keep you logged in, to remember your language (for one year), and to remember if you opted out of analytics.
- Server logs: our servers record the time, URL, IP address and browser type of each request, for troubleshooting and to protect against unauthorized access.
2. How we use it
- To provide member features (logging in, password reset emails, My Page, game records and rankings)
- To answer your messages, correct errors in articles and fix bugs
- To prevent spam and abuse
- To understand how the Service is used and improve it
- To send important notices about the Service
In games with rankings, your nickname may be shown to other users.
3. Disclosure to third parties
We do not provide your personal information to third parties except where required by law (other than the service providers listed in sections 4 and 5).
4. Analytics (Google Analytics)
We use Google Analytics (GA4), provided by Google LLC (USA), to understand how the Service is used. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect usage data, which Google handles under its own policies. For details, including how IP addresses are handled, see:

5. Service providers
We entrust the handling of information to the following providers, only as far as needed to run the Service:
- Google LLC (analytics)
- Our hosting provider (servers and database)
Videos in articles are hosted on YouTube (Google LLC). Thumbnails are loaded from YouTube's servers, and the player is loaded in privacy-enhanced mode only when you press play.
6. Security
We protect information against leaks, loss and tampering with measures such as encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, an admin area limited to administrators, storing only hashes of contact-form IP addresses, and regular database backups.
7. Access, correction and deletion
To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information (including closing your account), use the contact form with the topic "Other". If you are a member, enter the email address you registered with. We will respond within a reasonable period after confirming your identity. You can change your nickname on My Page and your password on the Settings page yourself.
8. Changes
We may update this policy as needed. Changes take effect when they are posted on this page.

These Terms of Use ("Terms") set out the conditions for using the Service provided by the operator of shibafuQ ("we", "us"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Accounts
Please register with an accurate email address and keep your password safe. We are not responsible for any loss caused by poor password management or use of your account by someone else.
2. Prohibited conduct
- Anything that breaks the law or offends public order and morals
- Impersonating others or using someone else's account
- Placing excessive load on our servers, including automated mass access
- Manipulating game records or rankings by unfair means
- Infringing the rights of others or defaming them
- Sending advertising or solicitations through the contact form
- Interfering with the operation of the Service
- Anything else we reasonably consider inappropriate
If we find a breach of these rules, we may cancel the account or delete records without notice.
3. Playing the games in our articles safely
Our articles describe how games are generally played. When you play, you are responsible for your own safety and that of the other players: choose a suitable place and equipment, and adapt to everyone's age and fitness. Take particular care with contact games such as cavalry battles (kiba-sen), pole toppling (bo-taoshi) and kabaddi, and with throwing games such as Mölkky, pétanque and lawn darts: keep a safe distance from others and watch where you throw. When playing in a park, follow the rules of that place.
We are not liable for any accident, injury or damage to property resulting from playing based on our articles, except where caused by our intentional misconduct or gross negligence.
4. Copyright
Copyright in the articles, diagrams, images, games and other content of the Service belongs to us or to the rightful owners. Do not republish or copy them without permission. Quotations within the limits allowed by copyright law are welcome, provided you credit the source (page name and URL).
5. Changes to or suspension of the Service
We may change, suspend or end the Service, in whole or in part, without notice. We are not liable for any loss this causes.
