How to play
  1. Each paddock holds sheep. The number is how many are in it.
  2. The dog and the sheep alternately claim one paddock, adding its number to their own total.
  3. The first to land exactly on the target total wins.
  4. You cannot take a paddock that would push you past the target. With no legal paddock, you pass.
  5. The sheep's own trick: line up three of your paddocks in a row, column or diagonal and 1 to 3 stray sheep join. You decide on the spot whether to take them, and it costs no turn (three times per game).
  6. Every paddock holds at least two sheep, so a gap of exactly one can never be filled from the board. Only stray sheep can close it.
